Credentials & Training

When leaders and executives get support to realize their full potential, everyone benefits.

In a study by Manchester Inc. of Fortune 1000 companies whose senior level executives used coaches, 53% reported increased productivity, 39% reported improved customer service, 32% reported increased retention of senior staff, 23% reported reduction in costs, and 22% reported increased bottom line profitability.

But those are just the hard numbers. The less tangible—but no less valuable— outcomes these executives reported were better relationships, less conflict and improved teamwork.

Another study conducted for a Fortune 500 firm by Metrix Global LLC showed that coaching yielded a 529% ROI (or 788% financial ROI if you count the financial benefits of employee retention), significant improvements in employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and quality of work.

And those outcomes are foundational for improving employee engagement, retention, productivity and revenue.

Executive coaching works.
But, not all coaching is created equal.

Co-Active Coaching

Philosophy: The “Co” in the Co-Active model focuses on relationship, connection and collaboration. The “Active” stands for power, direction, action and motivation. The transformational change and growth occurs in the dance between the “Co” and the “Active.”

Widely recognized as the most rigorous coach training and certification program in the industry, Co-Active Coaching and Leadership has been implemented in more than a third of Fortune 100 companies and is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

The Co-Active Coaching model balances self-awareness and relationship agility with courageous action to create an environment where individuals can find fulfillment in their professional and personal lives, connect with colleagues and clients in a more authentic manner, and achieve success in what matters most.

The approach to coaching in the Co-Active model is to effectively empower people and support them on their paths so they can continue to make life-giving and life-changing choices. Fundamentally, it’s a process of discovery, awareness and choice.

I’ve found that this model, along with my professional experience navigating the challenges of the C-suite, enables my clients to become more engaged, inspired and passionate about their lives and work. They think bigger and make greater contributions and impact.

Strengths Coach

Philosophy: The ways in which we most naturally think, feel and behave represent our innate power and potential

Strength’s Based Coaching & Development, with roots in positive psychology, identifies an individual’s natural, innate talents. By understanding the “how” of who we are, we help individuals understand the best parts of themselves to maximize and utilize as they build relationships, execute, influence and problem solve.

Instead of a focus on fixing weaknesses, the philosophy underpinning the Strengths Based approach is that only through identifying, owning and intentionally directing these talents and strengths can we recognize our true potential, achieve success and to do so in a way that is authentic to who we are.

Epona Rise: Equine-Assisted Learning & Development Program

Philosophy: Horses are uniquely able to unmask our weaknesses and give immediate, honest feedback when we exhibit true Leadership Presence

Horses have so much to teach us about managing energy, nonverbal communication, setting and respecting boundaries, situational awareness, using our energy to change existing dynamics - in other words, they teach us the raw skills required to develop true Leadership Presence.

Equine-based human development is an emerging field in leadership training, and one I strongly believe in, having experienced it myself. Horses are the epitome of consensual, conscious leadership. In fact, every leadership trait we value, including being present, or delivering and receiving feedback dispassionately, or communicating intuitively, or skillfully using assertiveness, can be found in working with horses.

You can’t take a “power over” approach with a 2000 pound animal. You won’t win. And they won’t lie. The only way to lead is by establishing trust. And when you learn that as a leader, you can lead anyone.
